But when pain in your muscles and joints is severe or not resolving as onewould expect, you should see your doctor. Typically, the primary care physician is seen for the first evaluation. If there is concern for an underlying rheumatic condition, he/shewill refer you to rheumatology for evaluation. Magnolia Rheumatology Clinic combines excellent medical care with comprehensive services. Our clinic has access to a full-service laboratory, X-ray facilities, DEXA, an infusion center, and a physical therapy department. This allows our physicians to personally review test results and provide them to patients in a timelymanner. All appointments are by physician referral. When Should I See A Rheumatologist? Rheumatology is now available in Corinth. A rheumatologist is an internist who received additional training in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disease and systemic autoimmune conditions commonly referred as rheumatic diseases. She treats disorders that affect the joints, muscles, tendons, bones, and other connective tissue and that cause pain, swelling, stiffness, and deformity. Beth Lindsey, DO, received her medical training at the University of Pikeville- Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine right here at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, and then completed her rheumatology fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
